SPECIAL OFFERING: Sunday we will be taking an offering to help send the sheriff's department to the Memorial service in May; where Deputy Ken Prorok will be remembered and honored.
Shepherds needed: Please prayerfully consider becoming a Shepherd for one of our Saints. Shepherds are assigned one or two members who are homebound or in care facilities. The Shepherd will pray for their saints, and visit (in person or by phone) once a month and take communion to their Saint(s). It's a small commitment that yields huge benefits. Our Saints feel connected to our congregation. Our current Shepherds say this ministry has been highly rewarding to them personally and strongly recommend becoming a Shepherd.
Church on the Street Christmas Giving: Celebrate the season of giving by sharing what God has given us. Church on the Street, a Neighbors in Solidarity ministry of the South Dakota Synod, distributes Church gifts to people who can’t come inside.
You can participate in various ways, Collect Christmas items: Gift cards and various small items. During winter, we collect new and gently used warm clothing, hand warmers, boots and quilts. Pray! Ask Pastor Ramona for more specific information.
Bring donated items to the Synod Office at 2001 S Summit Ave or call Pastor Chris at 605-215-1143 or Intern Deacon Mara at 605-610-8534.
Distribution will occur on December 23rd during a special Christmas Laundry with Love event.

Ministerial Thanksgiving love offering - This year the Moody County Ministerial is collecting canned black beans and pinto beans for the Breadbasket. Beans are a versatile ingredient and an excellent source of protein. The Ministerial's goal is to collect 1,200 cans of beans, enough beans to supply the Breadbasket for a year.

Take one of the labeled pill bottles and as you get loose change, put the quarters in the bottle. When filled, bring back and place in the laundry soap container. We will periodically send the quarters to Church on the Street for their Laundry with Love nights.

Moody County Cares
The Moody County Ministerial Association and Moody County Cares are working together along with the Bread-basket, Maynard's, and others to coordinate a response to the needs for food and other essentials by the people of Moody County. This effort will serve two groups of people: those who can't afford needed items such as food, soap, and laundry detergent, and those who can afford needed items but need to stay isolated for health reasons (seniors, immunocompromised, etc).
