Blessing of the Backpacks:
L: O Holy God, the time is come when school begins. As these your children begin their studies, we ask a blessing on their backpacks in which they carry the books and notebooks, markers and pens and pencils they will use to learn.
O Lord of Life and Love, C: Hear our prayer.
L: Bless, O God, all who will teach our children in the coming days and weeks and months. Give them the wisdom to find inspiration for each child. Give them the energy and creativity and love that will make their work a blessing to our children.
O Lord of Life and Love, C: Hear our prayer.
L: Bless, O God, all who work in our schools that they may be faithful stewards of the resources entrusted to their care. Make them fair and merciful, able to do their crucial work with a spirit of grace and compassion.
O Lord of Life and Love, C: Hear our prayer.
L: Bless, O God, each one gathered here that we will seek every opportunity to grow in our knowledge and love of you. Grant that we may see you more clearly, love you more dearly, follow you more nearly.

L: And bless, O God, these our cherished children, those whom we have promised to love and nurture at their baptism. Keep them safe, keep them excited, keep them ever seeking to learn more and to develop their gifts. NEW SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS! The Lambs class is for babies and toddlers from birth to age 3 and their parent(s) (or other adult). Join other parents and children to hear a Bible story, do a song and/or craft and learn simple ways to teach faith to your children. Emma Peters, along with Land and Lennon, is leading this class. Join us on Rally Day to register. Emma will be available to answer any questions you may have.

J.A.M. (Jesus and Me) Sunday School’s next J.A.M. is on December 6th, 6:30-7:15pm, Sunday School ages Pre-K thru 4th grade. The Youth Group leads the event and J.A.M’s are scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month.

SUNDAY SCHOOL CHOIR:
Will be singing the 1st Sunday of every month- Starting October 3rd!
CONFIRMATION:
Starting September 15th, 2021.
We have pre-confirmation class for the 5th & 6th graders Wednesdays from 4-5pm with a snack for the kids.
Confirmation for 7th and 8th Grade will start with a meal from 5:15-5:45 followed by class to about 6:30. We also hope to do some community service projects throughout the year too.
