Thank you Travis for the generous monetary donation you and your employer made to our Treasure Box Program! We plan to pay it forward by donating a portion to past due accounts at the Flandreau School Lunch Program and purchasing groceries and gas for families in the community. Thank you again for thinking of our group! It is a great opportunity for us to help others!

November 25th, 2015-- THANK YOU Delores for the cash donation to our Treasure Box! We added that to our Youth Gorup offering and spent the evening paying forward donations at Maynards, Dollar General and Cenex by paying for others purchases! What an awesome way for our Youth to learn the true meaning of giving without expectations of receiving! Thank you for thinking of us!
Dear SUBWAY Card givers~ Thank you for donating the cards! We all met at Subway and patiently waited for a customer to come. Our first card was given to a young lady going into Subway to eat. The 2nd card was given to an elderly lady at Dollar General. Both were very appreciative. Check out our pictures on the Youth Group page! Thank you for supporting our Treasure Box Program!
February 4th, 2015 ~Dear "Happy Lady" and "Blue Jays" gift giver~ The youth each put their favorite teacher's name in a jar and two teachers from Flandreau Public School were drawn to receive the gift cards to Bean and Vine and Blue Jays! The cards were delivered to the teachers in school with a note regarding the Treasure Box Program! They were much appreciated. Thank you for supporting our Treasure Box program!
Janaury 14th, 2015~ Dear "Happy Lady", Thank you for supporting our Treasure Box Program with the Bean and Vine $20 gift card you donated! We are looking forward to surprising customers at Bean and Vine by paying for their orders until the dollar amount is all used up! November 12th, 2014~ Dear "Strike Up the Band"-- the T-shirt was an awesome idea! We are planning to pay it forward next Wednesday evening, when we do our community service project of purchasing food and personal supplies for families in need, thanks to another Treasure Box friend that has requested a grant from Lutheran Thrivent. October 29th, 2014 Dear "Nick's Hamburger Fan" and "Alco Shopper"~ Thank you so much for the Treasure Box Items! As a part of the Youth Group Picture Scavenger Hunt, we took pictures of our teams paying the items forward! The Nicks Hamburger stocking cap went to a lady in the Maynards Grocery Store and the baseball cap went to a truck driver getting gas at Cenex. One of the ALCO cards was also given to a shopper at Maynards with two small children and the other card was handed out to a Flandreau Sheriff's Deputy. It was a great night for the OSLC Youth Group Paying Forward in the community! Thank you for supporting our Treasure Box Program!
10-8-2014 Dear "I Am Sad"... We are sorry to hear your dad has to work a lot and makes you sad when you miss him. Some of the things that we came up with that might help you are:
1. Tell your Dad you miss him.
2. Look at pictures of your Dad when he's gone.
3. Write him a letter about the things you did that day and leave it on the table so he can write you back.
Hope these help. Hang there and be especially good when your Dad is home, so the time you do have with him is fun!
9-24-2014 Dear On The Road Again~ Oh my gosh we had so much fun paying forward the two gas cards! We are doing it a little differently this year~ each week that we have something to pay forward to the community we go as a group at the end of or Youth Group Meeting to a public place and pay forward. This week Sydney and Dylan were chosen. They were give to two customers at the Cenex store! What a great time for the kids to gather as a group and give something without expecting anything in return! Thank you for the opportunity you have provided for our OSLC Youth!
9-17-2014 Marilyn - Thank you so much for providing us a Jacob Daniel t-shirt! The shirt was give to Rowden Hammer. We appreciate your support!
